containerized therapy
Another one where I collabed with ChatGPT. This one require quite as many mental gymnastics as the T&P joke. On that one I had to punt because Iād spent like an hour trying to get it to frame the idea as an SMBC comic. The order was WAY too tall so we dropped back to Southpark. Not sure how I got lucky with this one, or what I did right. I spent a bit less time on this than on T&P, but did finally make it work with the original concept.
Title: "Containerized Therapy"
Panel 1: An IFS therapist and a Kubernetes (K8s) expert DevOps engineer are sitting in a coffee shop, holding their drinks.
Therapist: I have a psychopath client, and it's really challenging to access their empathy part, which is buried beneath strong protector parts. As a K8s expert, do you have any tips on managing complex systems?
Panel 2: The DevOps engineer ponders for a moment.
DevOps Engineer: In Kubernetes, we deploy and manage containerized applications, isolating them from one another but enabling communication when necessary. You could try a similar approach in therapy, isolating the protector parts to create a safe space for the empathy part to surface.
Panel 3: The therapist looks intrigued and takes notes.
Therapist: That's an interesting idea. So, like managing containers, I can help the client's parts to communicate and collaborate more effectively while maintaining their boundaries.
Panel 4: The DevOps engineer nods enthusiastically.
DevOps Engineer: Exactly! Just as Kubernetes keeps applications running smoothly, you can help your client's parts find balance and harmony within their inner system.
Red Button Bonus Panel
The therapist is now in a therapy session with the psychopath client, holding a blueprint with containers labeled "Protector" and "Empathy."
Therapist: Today, we're going to deploy your empathy part in a safe container, allowing it to communicate with your protector parts.
Client (looking puzzled): Are we doing therapy or launching an app?
